A different voice on crime, policing and security
This blog is my personal view on the subjects of true crime (mostly major murder cases, I have a lifelong interest), policing and security. I began my journalism career on local newspapers as a reporter, feature-writer and sub-editor, then became a long-term watcher of the Metropolitan Police and the Association of Chief Police Officers (formerly Deputy Editor of the Met newspaper The Job and launch Assistant Editor of the ACPO journal Policing Today). I have also held senior editorial positions on security industry publications. Years ago, I had a dream to launch a magazine encompassing crime, policing and security but feared it wouldn’t be commercial – as a freelance, now I can and this is it.
I do not claim to be a leading authority, but I can provide some interesting insights and perspectives. Am I on the inside track? Let’s just say this blog knows where some bodies are buried. Apart from Lord Lucan’s.
Commissioning editors, please get in touch if I can contribute to your publication or website.
